Notes organizer/scheduling calendar Exstora: Forum / Technical support / problem with "&" sign in a note..?

I installed the v1.0_fr yesterday and just got a big problem a few minutes ago.. I create a new note with a long list of elements, close my Compaq portable computer go to eat and when I came back and launch my computer, Exstora always crash at startup and can't be launch after that.
since I didn't got any crash with the v0.9.9d_fr, I re-installed it (after saving the Exstora XML file and uninstalling the v1.0), but still got problem..
I look in the XML file and see that the "&" sign was replaced by "&".

I don't remember exactly in what order I do things, but finally I reinstalled the v1.0 and try to give it the XML file where I had suppressed the "&" parts, but if I remenber well, the note wasn't showing anymore.

at last what I do is delete the XML file, restart Exstora and re-create all my notes and copy-paste their content from what I save before, whithout any "&" sign and all seems to work great again..

sorry to be so unsure of what I done and in what order, but it seems to me that the problem was with the "&" sign. (I didn't see anything else odd).

now I set all the properties with the little icon at the bottom, but I can't get the colours I have before crashing.. it was a light yellow theme, but I didn't have anything like that in the choices..??

    Hello Redcat,

Are you sure, that this crash occured because & sign is present in a notes? We have tested Exstora with "&", and no crash has occured :-(

Please, see into your old exstora_dat.xml, may be you will find any other stranges, or try to open it with MS Internet Explorer. If the xml file contains error, Explorer will report about this.

About light yellow theme: in the French version, this theme name is "Café au lait"

sorry, but I think I didn't keep the original xml file..
don't have time today, but will try to make some tests again in the week. I also did several copy/paste/modify in this crashing note and maybe that could have corrupt something.

will try to re-do something similar to what I done before this problem and will let you know, as soon as possible.

for the "Café au lait" theme, I don't think that it was what I had before. I will also try to install the v0.9.9d on another computer and after uninstall, install the v1.0 to see what I got..

Edit: something I didn't say clearly is that when I installed the v1.0, I paste the old XML file from the v0.9.9d in the directory, and launch v1.0 and create a new note in it.
and the problem appear after rebooting.. if there's something different in the v0.9.9d and v1.0 xml file format, maybe that could cause the problem.. anyway, will try to make some other tests soon..

re-Edit: for the theme at install, it seems to be "été" (just tried it at work), so more light green than light yellow. should do something for my memory ..

well, I don't know what to say.. I just try different ways to re-create the problem I got this week-end, but I can't.

maybe the problem was linked to something else, but I don't see what (and I didn't install/uninstall any software since I install the v1.0 of Exstora).

if I have the problem again, I will keep the file and take note of what I did exactly, but for now, all is good..

sorry to have called for a bug if the problem was somewhere else, but I really don't know what could have made Exstora crash at each startup..?!.. there probably was something corrupted in the xml file, but I can't find a way to reproduce that..

    thanks for your help.
